Budapest, Hungary – Hungary will once again play fashion capital from April 15 – 17 during Budapest Fashion Week. During the 3 days of fashion celebration, fantasy and fun, the public will be treated to 15 original collections. In addition to Hungarian designers, guest fashion houses from Serbia, Turkey and Bulgaria will show their collections. And for the first time, special arrangements have been made to honor FAR EAST inspirations in fashion and to introduce environmentally safe fashion.
The calendar will kick of on April 15 with the Fall Winter 2015/16 collections of Pink Code, Marko Marosiuk, Luxuria, Tsoogo and Kenguru. On April 16 will Patent, Kutyadolog, Hecendorfer Tímea and Caunca hitting the catwalk. And on April 17 the last shows will include Pi Style, Cocoon, Anni Pastor, Orenda and Anwaryan. On this last day, the queen of Serbian fashion, Marija Sabic, will unveil her new collection in Budapest.
Thanks to a fruitful collaboration between the National Fashion League Hungary and the Budapest Fashion Week, guests will for the first time have the opportunity to see hand-made textiles by Hossain Khandokar. This designer hails from Bangladesh and creates with the inspiration from the Indian jewellery of Nelli Molnár. Also there will be inspirations from by mandala painter Erika Paál; the dresses of Agnes Szepligeti and a hand-painted kundalini dress and painting by Dr.Veronika Hegedus.
The Indian Ambassador to Hungary, His Excellency Mr. Shri Malay Mishra will open the event. Also present will be Hungarian Honorary Consul to Bangladesh, Mr. Ambrus Nyerges; Ms. Arina Zupica, the Honorary Hungarian Consul to Latvia, and other the foreign VIP participants.
This edition of the Budapest Fashion Week will put emphasis on environment friendliness, solutions of fashion and innovation.
On April 16th bio make-up artist Orsolya Fürjes will present an eco-friendly make up show. And finally special eco-friendly designs will be presented for the first time by the members of the National Fashion League Hungary’s eco-team: Dr. Veronika Hegedus (with Verushka ArtClothes), Andrea Janoschek, Dr. Gabriella Mányi Walek, Éva Réti (Réthy Fashion), Péter Szilvássy, Brigitta Bányai (Brigzone jewellery), Rozália Tolvaj, Erika Szabó (Kutyadolog) and the Indian fashion designer Madhusudan Lal.
