Lodz, Poland – Mes Petites Perles de Verre is the first collection ever shown by young Polish designer Waleria Tokarzewska-Karaszewicz.
The pieces are each lavishly feminine. The designer loves the usage of rich textures, colours and embroideries. The inspiration for her work see her combining oriental style, Russian folk, old haute couture and the style of the 50s, 60’s and 70’s. One can see a huge spectrum of colors, bright, vivid and combined in multicolored fabrics. The designer loves color so we have red, yellow, orange, blues, black, gold and silver.
The collection consists of dresses, skirts, coats, pants, blouses, jackets all combined with accessories such as bags and necklaces. The silhouettes have defined waists, with pleats and bubble or A-line shaped bottoms. Each set features a combination of textures and designs. The garments are beautifully decorated with embroideries, which are entirely hand-made. The fabrics used are mostly Jacquard, wool, pleather or brocade.
For the debut on the runway Waleria showed a mature, concise and well planned work that is full of pieces for the sophisticated women, who loves abundance in the clothes she wears.
