Lodz, Poland- Focusing on the needs of younger clients, Nanko presents an inspired Fall Winter 2015 streetwear collection for the season. One can find raw energy with bits of rebelliousness in the mood of the collection.

The inspiration behind the work is the streets of New York and their new metro designed by Triboro Studio influencing the geometrical cuts and details. The garments seem comfortable and functional, yet many feature unconventional details.

The collection consists of oversized coats, baggy pants, blouses, t-shirts, shirts, hoodies shorts paired with caps and backpacks. The fabrics used are jersey, cotton, nylon, leather and wool. The author focuses much attention on chosing fabrics which are soft to touch to make her garments feel comfortable and light-weight. The color palette starts from grey, black and white, going to gold, aqua, bronze, blue, navy and pink.

Some garment feature prints inspired by wall drawings and running people, standing for a more energetic and a juvenile spirit. The simplicity of the basic design is changed by adding multiple functional pockets and ribbing at the sleeve. The sharp shut of the collars and asymmetric detail create more edge to the sculpted leather garments.

It’s nice to see some freedom, fun and youthoughfulness in todays fashion. When all of the surroundings being so rigid one needs some fun playing dress up.
