Lisbon, Portugal – At every fashion week, there are inevitably some shows that mark the whole edition in a positive way. This year when looking at the calendar of shows, my eyes immediately noticed the name of DAWID TOMASWZESKI. No stranger to the catwalks of Lisbon, the Polish fashion designer had previously presented at the Spring/Summer 2012 edition of the ModaLisboa. He show at that time marked the spirit of everyone present.
This said, it goes without say that I was very excited to see what he was bringing this time. And he did not disappoint at all. His new collection for Fall Winter 2015/16 is amazing and super classy. Inspired by contemporary art he uses materials such as wool and silk to bring his creations to life. The models were constantly dressed with long and elegant dresses in dark colors.
Followed by heavy fabrics, we see little Chanel-like jackets in tweed and pieces with lots of volume, texture and geometric patterns. These patterns resemble broken glass. They eventually made this collection a glimpse of sophistication and so easily so when compared to many of the other shows.
