Paris, France – Andrea Pompilio has managed to find a good footing as creative consultant at the house of Canali. In just one year since his appointment to the post, he is finding space to express himself in the family owned brand that is known for suiting some of the world’s most discriminating clientele.

Pompilio is sticking with a more than subtle color palette that is dominated by tones of brown. To that he adds in surprising colors that include hues of lilac. He positions them all on textured, but soft fabrics. This works very well with his leisurely tailored suits and safari inspirations. The trousers are cut with more space from freedom of movement and certain comfort. The short sleeves and banded collars also add more validity to the notion that the Canali man is opening himself to moments where a more relaxed attire and wardrobe are acceptable.

This is a much welcomed addition to the Canali aesthetic as it is rich, respects the heritage of the houses and appeals to the house’s traditional clientele while simultaneously opening it up to younger fashionistas with decidedly more discriminating tastes.
