Paris, France – Z. Zegna is hopping on the kite surfing bandwagon for inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2016 season. And of all of the houses who have recently played around with that theme, only this collection so far seems to be hitting all the chords.
The collection is a one of the the most beautifully executed ones from the Milanese catwalks this season. It goes without saying that tones of blue and white form a solid backbone for the collection. But to them, we find nice orange and red, etc. These accents really give a energetic jolt to the silhouettes consisting of light tailoring, shorts, easy suits and jackets. Of course we have lots of pieces confectioned from technical fabrics. They do wonders in the elaboration of the street-friendly silhouettes.
The collection has lots of light outerwear pieces. The best are highlighted by the transparent fabrics, which tend to create a sense of tailoring. The lace up necklines add sex appeal to the silhouettes. And the prints add a hint of humour that one would naturally associate to the younger Z. Zegna clientele.
