Paris, France – Manu Reas represents the kind of determination that this writer adores in a young designer. He is not yet a very well known name in couture or among the elite international press. And yet here we are writing about his new collection for Fall Winter 2015/16.
The young couturier has created a collection that takes some of its inspiration from sports. He has expressed his ideas in a collection of soft draping, knitting, embroideries, jerseys and silks. And the silhouettes cover the three aspects of couture: daywear, cocktail and evening wear. We find a nice short sleeve polo style top and lots of baseball caps in the collection. And the designer includes lots fur pieces and fur embellishments into the collection.
In all honesty this is a collection that has its fair share of imperfections. However, the collection does have it merits. And if Reas accepts to do a self-examination and allow himself to improve his execution and final detailing, he will then enjoy more compliments from the press.
