Paris, France – Grand couturier Alexandre Vauthier continues his quest to energize and revitalize haute couture world with his sexy and approachable vision towards the artistic discipline. This is a collection in which lace and embroideries are practically absent. In their place he adds touches of Native American influences and inspirations to the new Fall Winter 2015/16 collection.
Vauthier hits the catwalk with daringly short asymmetric cuts in his skirts and dresses. We see the legs fully revealed in spite of the fact that the collection is meant for the winter. But when you are a client of haute couture, you seldomly spend your winter months in cold clients unless you are skiing. So the jet-setting Vauthier woman will bring out her plunging necklines, jumpsuits and naked arms to the warmer clients where she will be.
Exciting is the word that describes fully each piece in the collection. Nearly each of the silhouettes is punctuated with a large belt that frames the woman’s hourglass shape and tassels. This latter element falls off of the leather coats, the dresses and the skirts. The sexy strappy, high heeled sandals are completed with feathers !
