Paris, France – Georges Chakra has created an energetic Fall Winter 2015/16 couture collection to celebrate a new muse. According to the couturier, she is a woman who is described as being “half-angel, half-passion”!
This version of the Chakra woman enjoys revealing her shoulders, arms and legs. She is not a woman of daywear. Rather she enjoys the elegance of long opera gloves in fuchsia, white, black, etc. Her hair is pulled up into an opulante bun, which is finished with a bangs. Her silhouettes assume all the benefit of A-line cuts. They are further reinforced with the addition of trapeze gowns. This does not stop her from enjoying quite a lot of open-back, tight waistlines, etc. High heeled sandals fuel her movements.
This season her attire is bedazzled in a storm of sequins, embroideries, appliqués, silk, organza and lace. Away from the A-line silhouettes, she has an army of sheath dresses and full volume, bottom dresses and skirts. They are finished with draping and waves of details in the back of the dress, on the tails of the dress on the side and on one hip. Chakra combines fabrics such as crepe, velvet, laces and tulle to bring them all to life.
This writer admits to being a greatly surprised at the inclusion of his red velvet dress. Finished with its crystal encrustations and a dangerous split, it is an extremely daring look in this collection that is dominated by combinations of black, white and blue.
Chakra is and has always been the one to experiment with new fabrics. Here we find gorgeous materials of iridescence. They are used in the his little two-piece cocktail attire. His ball gown in white silk with lace and crystal encrustations is beauty with its backless design, and left shoulder draped creation that sweeps the floor as does the rest of the gown. With it we know that Georges Chakra Couture will be on fire for Fall Winter 2015/16.
