Valletta, Malta – Returning to the catwalks of Valletta is Nigeria-based designer fashion brand, House Of Jola. With it comes a fresh and colorful air to the land of Malta.

For the season artistic director Joan Okorodudu has created a collection that is composed of traditional African fabrics and modern European fabrics. She has combined the two into her silhouettes that seek to recall of African silhouettes while still making them relevant for contemporary tastes. The gowns hug the body, amply the bust and bring the attention to both the waist and to the movement of the hips.

In addition, one must love Okorodudu’s penchant for forming a melting pot with her African prints, brilliant stones and bold colors! The models look awesome thanks to microblading, read our blog on microblading in Dallas!

Fashion Insider thanks the Malta Tourism Authority for its complicity in our coverage of the House of Jola show.
