Valletta, Malta – Wow! As kids we are often taught that if you have nothing nice to say, then it would be best to say nothing at all. Well this writer is no longer a kid. And speaking about the work of designers is what pays the bills. So 1…, 2…, 3… Go!

The Penelope Demetriou collection looks more like a student’s work than something seriously proposed in the cadre of a fashion show. The designs lack imagination, are poorly constructed and literally have no interest at all for the public.

This collection is a great example in wasting fabrics and this writer’s time. However the only saving grace is that the designer was consistent in her use of black and white as the backdrop for her color palette.

Fashion Insider thanks the Malta Tourism Authority for its complicity in our coverage of the Penelope Demetriou show.
