Lodz, Poland – The Mexican designer Gregorio Sanchez presented his work with a strong mixing of a variety of colors, designs and textures for a striking, abstract result.
One can see the inspiration behind the work is the Mexican vivid, diverse and eclectic styles. This type of fashion may be considered a little too much and overwhelming for many people. However for enthusiasts of rainbow colors, the mood is really energetic.
There are some shared motives throughout the collection such as the floral prints, black and white geometrics and a mix of flowy sheer fabrics with solid shining materials. The abstract drama the clothes feel feminine. This is especially true with the bold pencil skirts and dresses with front slits. Another thing worth noticing are the eye-catching colorful bags.
When looking at the collection as a whole, it is clear that certain of the garments could be more thought out, because the lines don’t look as good as others. This is especially due in part to the shiny fabrics.
Gregorio Sanchez choose a tough esthetic but with the print trend in full force, it can be aimed at the fashion conscious consumer.
