New York City, USA – Oscar de la Renta is without a doubt one of the key glamour houses on the New York fashion scene. This season, it presents to us a Spring/Summer 2016 outing replete with the codes of sophistication and that are combined with just the right amount of sex appeal.
Red is the overwhelmingly most visible color in the collection. It is seconded by white and teal. They are used to form the strongest points of the color palette that washes over the silhouettes of long gowns and shorter cut, just-below-the-knee cut, and body-hugging dresses. The shoulders are fully revealed through the little black dress with is made halter top number.
Crystals are subtly added into some piece in the collection. It is nice to see how they style a knit top and cardigan over a lovely, more exciting skirt in black and with crystals. And the house finishes out the outing with an amply cut, knee-length dress yellow as a wake to shake the tables! This same tone is used in a lovely yellow dress with draping appearing on the left hip.
