Lodz, Poland – The first look on the runway of the fashion house Ralph Lauren for Spring/Summer 2016 tells it all: a white shirt, pleated and tapered pants paired with red platforms. It’s an American chic à la Parisian at its finest.
The basic colors of the show are off course the signature brands favourites white, red and navy the colors of both the French and American flags. The details worth pointing out are perfect collars, long fishtails, slits in all of the right areas, asymmetric lines and abstract prints. The accessories include matching bag, belt and platform shoe combos.
One can see multiple stylish options hitting the runway from simple striped tops, shirts, gowns, jackets, pants, skirts and coats. An interesting addition to the classics are multicolored 80’s inspired prints on a coat, dress, pants or a bag. Other visible trends are safari sytles with the rich, camel colored pieces made out of leather. The marine trend is present with the wide legged pants with the stripes. The collection is not to flashy but focusing on the timeless beauty of elegant garments.
You cant expect anything than the best quality and that preppy casual wibe the corporate consumers so adore.
