Lodz, Poland – Celebrating 10 years of street style history, American designer Alexander Wang presented his collection for Spring/Summer 2016 to the excited applause of his clients and press.
Having the freedom of expression the genius designer came back to his roots. One can see a dark, modern street wear collection inspired by cyberpunk, 90’s, the rave and hip-hop culture. The collection is what all the stylish youth want: crop-tops, parkas, fringed jackets, bombers, jeans, leather motorcycle pants and plaid shirts. The garments are finely tailored and paired in masterful combination of lengths, patterns and textures.
The mood of the presentation is modern, energetic yet some what apocalyptic. Details feature chunky vertical and horizontal stripes, military inspired forms, fringing, laced ups, thorn jean shorts and fish net tops. A style so striking it has many followers world-wide with the best known celebrities for starters.
The color range is dark, military green, black, white, navy and red. The accessories are chain necklaces, hats, belts, earring , studded slip ons, sneakers and wedges.
Waiting for more to come and wishing the designer more fashion experiments influencing the sports wear of today.
