Lodz, Poland – The Latin spirit was very visible in the new exciting collection for Spring/Summer 2016 by Proenza Schouler.
Mixing the modern clean silhouettes with bold colors and Cuba inspired festive details, Shouler has created a new dimension to the house’s work. The sculpted designs are enriched by bows, pompoms, feathers, rose prints and ruffles mixed in with the straight, strict parts with the animated movements. The delicate dresses pair up superbly with modern, crisp jackets. The elegant, modern style still can be developed by innovative thing.
The designers love exposing the skin so this time the center point are the women’s arms, but there are also cut offs exposing the body, especially the legs. The dresses and pants are cut above the ankles to expose the eye-catching pointy ankle strap shoes. The color palette is a mix of intense blacks, whites, reds, wine and teal.
The traditional glamour as mentioned can work superbly when modern craftsmanship is involved. Proenza Shouler showed again their skills, great sense of proportion and the ability to experiment to achieve new ideas.
