Milan, Italy – Italian fashion star Alberta Ferretti takes us on a different, more subtle path to glory this season. For inspiration, the desert provides plenty of ideas for her at this time.
In her new collection for Spring/Summer 2016, Ferretti has decided to work with inlaid lace, linens, hand-ripped silks, tulle, chiffon and chamois. The result is a wardrobe crafted in light fabrics, that caresses the woman’s body while simultaneously giving her the room she craves as she moves unbothered through space and through time. The looks are not only remarkable, but they are subtle enough for daywear, yet festive enough for the evening. In other words, we find the designer at the height of her creative genius.
In relation to the new outing for Spring/Summer 2016, “I do not like to talk about what inspires me to inspire me because there are only women and their needs”, said Alberta Ferretti comment before the show. She went on to comment,
“This season, however, it was as if I needed space and to make a clean sweep. Maybe that’s why I was inspired by the desert, its colors and its suggestions “.
The colors are natural and calming. They include sand, rust, mustard hues, brown paper bag, different tints of beige, etc. She accessories the looks with simple sandals in leather and just the right amounts of very visible gold jewellery. Combined together, they create an ethnic flair for the perfect silhouettes of carefree style, romance and peace of mind.
