Paris, France – With 91 shows scheduled in the official calendar, the Fédération Française de la Couture presents from Tuesday September 29th to Wednesday October 7th the Paris Fashion Week 2016 Spring Summer collections.
Made up of 24 nationalities, the calendar welcomes this season the oncoming of Aalto (Tuesday September 29th at noon), Neheru (Tuesday September 29th at 1pm), Koché (Tuesday September 29th at 9pm), Vêtements (Thursday October 1st at 9pm) and the return of Courrèges (first show of Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant on Wednesday September 30th at 9am), Martin Grant (Monday October 5th at 3.30pm) and Ellery (Tuesday October 6th at 9.30am).
The Palais de Tokyo is hosting several shows, presentations, events and the Press Center located in the alcôve Henrique Oliveira. Open everyday, reserved to professionnals, the Press Center provides services to journalists, photographers and buyers.
Along with the Palais de Tokyo, some of the places such as the Grand Palais, the Palais des Beaux Arts, the Espace Ephémère Tuileries, the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Hôtel de Ville de Paris, the Jeu de Paume, the Opéra Bastille, the Mona Bismarck American Center, … host Paris shows.
This season is kindly supported by the Mairie de Paris: displayed in Paris streets during 15 days, the flags and posters of the promotional campaign “La Mode Aime Paris” will decorate as well the Champs Elysées. As of Wednesday September 30th when this operation starts, the Eiffel Tower will be lit every evening, during the shows, with the Paris Fashion Week colors. A private press tour of the 2015 Nuit Blanche artistic exhibitions is organized on the evening of Friday October 2nd and a cocktail party is given in the reception rooms of the Paris City Hall on Tuesday October 6th to celebrate the Paris Fashion Week.
Designers Apartment will hold its seventh session at Atelier Richelieu (60 rue de Richelieu, Paris 2e) from Saturday October 3rd until Friday October 9th, 2015. The Fédération Française de la Couture’s initiative, supported by DEFI, offers since 2012 the possibility to a selection of Paris-based fashion newcomers having French companies to showcase their collections to the press and buyers. Designers Apartment gathers the 2016 Spring Summer collections of: A. Guery, AVOC, Belle Ninon by Ling & Dawei, Criloi, Iris Cantabri, Koché, Maison Père, Monographie, Thierry Colson, Victoria/Tomas and Y/Project.
From 3pm to 8pm on Sunday October 4th, the afternoon is dedicated to journalists at Designers Apartment. The www.modeaparis.com En Avant Première ! section will provide buyers with sales contacts and information on a selection of designers.
