Lviv, Ukraine – Designer Uliana Nedoshytko presents a collection for Spring/Summer 2016 in which we see colors reduced to the bare essentials: black, white, grey. And to them she adds hints of blue with brilliant sheens.
The silhouettes are cut with lots of draping in the pieces such as the dresses. The trousers are also cut extremely amply. She privileges prints that move between vertical stripes psychedelic prints. This creates an air of infinite movement. Some of the dresses are cut very long and straight. They are opened with remarkable splits. The draping falls atop the bust. This is most effective in her silk jersey pieces.
In the menswear, she works on the same premises: black, blue, and grey. The blazers are more box cut. However, the trousers are very baggy and amply cut. The shirts are in the form of either t-shirts, or they are long-sleeves and wrap-cut for an interesting twist.
In the end we have a collection that is well defined from start to finish. The message is clear and fully executed through the consistency of the cuts, materials and colors.
