Lviv, Ukraine – MYKYTYUK and YATSENTYUK opens the Spring/Summer 2016 season with thoughts of the early spring. The skies are becoming sunny, yet the mornings and nights are still crisp with what remains of the winter frosts. So to prepare for it, the design duo sends out their heroine armed in off white, highlighted with golden details. A heavier, cottony, cloud-like materials is used to craft coats, jackets and ensembles. They are paired with near-knee high boots.
Suddenly the white cottony materials transform and become see-thru materials, silk, cotton and linen. The dresses are light and nearly folkloric. This is made possible thanks to the shapes of the dresses and finally the decorative details on the dresses such as the large red poppies.
Throughout the collection, the veteran duo of the Lviv Fashion Week have remained steadfast and consistent. They are well-rewarded for their efforts by their loyal clients, who stormed the runway at the end of the show with offerings of congratulations, kisses, large bouquets of flowers and other gifts.
