Lviv, Ukraine – NovaNa Studio presents a collection of classics mixed with contemporary elegance for today’s client. The Spring/Summer 2016 outing sees the designer incorporating various textures in order to offer a wardrobe fit for the active woman.
Printed silks, pattern woven cottons and wools, etc. are the materials on which the confident silhouettes are shaped. A wrap-dress starts its adventure from the back of the left shoulder in one dress before making its way to the front where it then meets with its opposite side. Pantacourts are tossed together with matching skirt halves and jackets.
The best parts of the collection are revealed once the brown, blue and black make room for the appearance of white. An elegant jumpsuits in crepe is finished with a large flower appliqués on the bust. It is followed by other white dresses that repeat the shapes and from earlier in the show. A sleeveless dress is created from a boyfriend-friend shirt. Its back is button down. Created in poplin, it is completed with white shorts.
The house uses technical fabrics to create shell jackets in large fish net weaving. Though they will not protect against any of the elements, their purpose is purely meant to be aesthetic. And as far as the eye can see, “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED”! This fabric is actually a black tone over a white tone. It made its first appearance in the collection with the aforementioned white jumpsuit.
Pink is the final color to light up the runway. We find softly cut pantcourts worn with matching, short-cropped, bolero inspired 1/3 sleeves. This ensemble features a top with floral appliqués. These floral patterns go on to finish out the collection in the form of a beautiful short sleeves, maxi-dress.
When the models return for a final bow, one clearly sees how well conceived NovaNa Studio’s collection truly is. It hits all the fine points of a woman’s busy life and covers all the needs of her demanding schedule from day to evening and throughout the weekend too.
