Paris, France – The collection designer Veronique Branquinho, Spring/Summer 2016 is all about the vertical, with lean and statuesque silhouettes.
Here we find a work focused into a collection that is romantic, yet not sweet and cuddly. Presenting the sure, strong woman showing her poetic side with the layering, ruffles, lace, long fringing and sheer materials. There are visible Victorian inspirations with corseted tops. The shapes are elongated or of A-line form. Yet still they are a little bit oversized in order to give the freedom of movement. There’s also that ethnic touch with bohemian floral prints on some of the dresses.
The work consists of long gowns, skirts, blouses, tunics, vests, shorts and jackets. The colours are cream, white, black, pale blue, pale pink and with sudden violent splashes of red.
The collection as a whole is made to satisfy the needs of the freedom-loving consumers, who love to look good without lusting for attention.
