Lodz, Poland – Chic and sexy are the woman figures in the collection for Spring/Summer 2016 by popular Polish designer Viola Piekut.
The designer has constructed a collection that many woman will most likely lust after. It is created with carefully selected fabrics, body conscious shapes and a fine use of color. On the catwalk one sees a selection of dresses, tops, sweaters, pants, jackets and skirts. They make the models look proud of their bodies and full of confidence. Unfortunately some basic pieces had problems with the proportions, especially visible in the badly placed pockets.
One could see popular must-have trends like suede, turtlenecks and fringing. There are touches of romantic safari traits like braided details and open-work embroidery ending in long fringes. The sculpted jackets have a military feel to them. For more glamorous occasions, we have black dresses with tasteful necklines and fine knitwear for everyday.
As Viola Piekut is very popular with celebrities, she is careful to exclude wacky extravagance. Instead she rather opts for elegance with some touches of extravagance. This is reflected in her stable palette. The colours used are military green, burnt orange, cream, black, grey and brown.
It is true that more attention to the details is needed in the future to create a better result. However, the fabrics used and some worthy and interesting moments make this collection suitable for the costumers.
