Novi Sad, Serbia – In the Andrea Jovanovska capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2016, we have strong shoulder work, which has been made the starring attraction in each silhouette. We find both dresses and two-piece ensembles, which hug the figure. The designer is using a system of “nerveur” to accentuate the work on the sleeves, the shoulders and at times on the body of the work.
We find splits in the skirts (both long and short) that allow the woman to move about the place unfettered by the closely cut pieces. Black and white are the two dominant tones in the collection. Together they make the sleeveless jumpsuit pop. It has been accentuated in with gold zippers.
This is a small collection. And it is the kind that this writer likes to see. Everything in it is well done from A-to-Z. The models look dynamite in the pieces. And though this is a small capsule collection of seven looks but, it leaves us craving to see far more from Andrea Jovanovska.
