Novi Sad, Serbia – Six months after showing what was universally considered as his best work for women’s, Serbian designer Mladen Milivojevic Baron returns to the catwalks of the Serbia Fashion Week. Here he presents a new collection for women that is as replete in rich colors as it is in deeper refinement.
Though Baron begins with top cotton chinos in tobacco, he moves very quickly toward the more sophisticated elements. His work is championed by a plethora of maxi dresses in combination with subtle accents such as velvet belts. He adds short dresses too and opens the back on some dresses. He adds little pompoms for accents.
Mladen Milivojevic Baron calls upon a litany of silks and prints to bring together the work behind his designs. In this the Baron heroine is more delicate too this season. However, she also appears to be stronger than ever before. And to prove it, she wear beautiful top hats in a selection of colorful fabrics !
The men’s work is arguably his best work too to date. We finally see Baron adding variety, details and real tailoring to his men’s work. Though perhaps more for a clientel with more financial resources, these are the elements that were missing from his previous work.
Baron gives the men textures this season as well. Silk, wool, knits, pressed cotton and woven materials are all present. We see trousers, button-down vests and lots of wool capes. And the men wear cardigan for real style and simple flair. And he also includes a wide selection of hats, scarves, bow ties, pendants and brooches among the accessories for the men’s attire.
