St. Petersburg, Russia – Russian fashion house Fabric Fancy has named its newest outing with the title of “Lost World”. This theme is expressed in a silhouette of largely cut trousers in white worn with a black & white print tunic-style top that opens the show. We finds very simply, button down shirts in chiffon. They have large collars and are finished with extremely angular cuffs.

From there we see a soft green and beautiful blue enter into the collection. The pants are cut inches above the ankles. A fine green skirt with black thread motifs in geometrics is worn with a white, off-the-shoulder top. It is followed by a long white dress with the familiar black thread details to them.

This season the skirts at Fabric Fancy are cut to the knees. They have a natural perkiness and bounce. One such number in black is worn with a lightly tailored jacket in green. It is finished with vertically placed draping. This is a fine example of how the house excels in matching the right colors with fit! This is no easy task as the house is working with black, lilac, green, blue and white in its silk, sheers, chiffons and woven materials.

As the collection advances we see gemstones and geometric woven into the lovely blue fabric. The dresses evolve to take on the perky effect of the skirts. They too are cut above the knees and can be worn as either dresses or coats.

When we arrive to evening movement, the skirts suddenly become dramatically long. We see the gowns and the dresses open up. They reveal more flesh than fabric. Yet the body is completely covered in fabric, thus we have an optical illusion.

The shoes are a bit retro of the late 1960s and even very early 1980s. Again we see the triumph of simplicity of cuts well put together and a direct message that Fabric Fancy makes easily understandable for all to appreciate.
