London, UK – As this writer reviews the images of the new collection by designer Sean Suen, I can’t help but to think, “I like it. I really, really like it”.
Sean Suen has created an exciting collection that conjugates style, urban wear, sportswear and a bit of new punk. The result is an explosive mix that is worthy of a true style icon like David Bowie. After all who better than Bowie to exude the prerequisite confidence needed to pull off some of the looks? And who better than the legendary rocker for pulling off some of these looks that fuses different influences?
Suen borrows the Saville Row tradition of using gigantic lapels in his creations. However beyond that one must pay close attention to the short-cropped, tight waisted puffer-inspired, bomber jackets that the designer has created. And in fact, if one looks very carefully at his green jacket of the sort, one can see the British hammer jack. It has been reinterpreted with using only an olive palette and silver zippers. They have been paired together with baggy trousers.
Going further into the collection we detect quite a lot of outer wear pieces. Among them are large oversized coats. They exchange places with the short-cropped jackets. They both look amazing with the trousers of various volumes and proportions.
