London, UK – Lou Dalton is all about practicality and comfort. This shows keenly true in her new work for Fall Winter 2016/17. Here we see the designer creating shapes with comfortable volumes and proportions.
Wool, knit, cotton and just a bit of leather are the materials with which Lou Dalton is working this season. She keeps the color palette very simple and approachable by employing the usual suspects of gray, black, dark blue, deep pine green and camel as the dominant hues. Though far from being considered as “oversized”, each piece in the outer wear of the silhouettes is roomy. And while many London houses are working with exaggerated lapels this season, Lou Dalton charts her own independent course by keeping them reasonably cut.
