Paris, France – Stephanie Haan prepares a sensationally beautiful collection for the Fall Winter 2016/17 season to come. The designer has called upon her tailoring skills as a base. From there she mixes her results with pieces created for streetwear.
Checks, quilting, tartans and solids are all part of the story. We find well-fitted suits with wide lapels on the blazers. Though its frame is in checks, the sleeves are in black. The reverse is found in the long outer coats. Many of the trousers in the collection have vertical bandage outseams. The shirt collars are either traditional and in large proportions or banded, loose fitting and rise high. And back on the side of her suit blazers, we find them cut short.
Haan is doing great things this season with quilting. Though initially we find it posed as lining on the insides of the blazers, jackets and coats, we go on to find it later used in scarves. It goes without saying that the strongest pieces in quilting is the unexpected jumpsuit. And finally we see it used in various colors as the outer shell of some coats as well.
As for those little distinguishing details 22/4 by Stephanie Haan adds those very visible zippers with rings.
