Paris, France – During the couture shows and presentations in Paris, one can always count upon the collections of Rami al Ali to provide one of the strongest highlights of the entire season. Returning to the Hotel Meurice with his new Spring/Summer 2016 collection, the Dubai-based couturier once again demonstrates why he is one of the most talented there is in the art-business today.
This collection marks the ninth showing in Paris for Rami al Ali. Through this publication and others, this writer has always sung praises on high in homage to his immense talent and skilled eye. And as I have stated time and time again, NO OTHER COUTURIER today is as noted for their draping skills as Rami al Ali couturier!
In this collection he employs them in the creation of his elegant gowns with their tulip shape. Though there appear to be far more structuring going on than in his previous two collections, a further examination reveals that some of the structure a gigantic illusion as it is actual the result of al Ali’s unique draping skills! And there in lies the magic of the couturier’s hands.
This season he is employing gold, taupe, coral and royal blue to form his palette. Conjugated together with the sheers and the ultra modern laces, al Ali creates an undeniable air of freshness, lightness and modernity. This is coronated with his exquisite hand-made embroideries. They embellish the gowns in just the correct manner so that each look becomes a unique work of art.
