Lodz, Poland – For the new Fall Winter 2016/17 season to come, Polish fashion house Malgrau decides to present a contemporary collection of looks that are extremely understandable from a style point of view. The garments are rightly balanced between slim cuts and more generously shaped proportions.
The slim cut trouser is the recurring leitmotif in the collection. The pants are cut to cover the shoes and feature a split very often in the back so that they fall effortlessly over the mini-boot while still revealing the high heels. We find these pants puts under skirts and dresses. Once put in combinations strong layered looks quickly emerge.
Malgrau cuts in a lot of dresses this season. Most of them feature long sleeves and an oval crew cut around the neckline. This shape — one broken into two pieces — forms the skirts and the blouses that are indispensable to the collection’s guaranteed success. Though most of these pieces appear in either black or white, there is a flame covered printed material that brings fire to the collection.
As the collection heads towards its climax, we find the skirts becoming longer and going to the knees or even to the ankles. There is no exception, not even for the little wrap skirts.
Once all is said and done, Malgrau presents for us a collection that is extremely cohesive and feminine yet for a woman of the city.
