Paris, France – Labo International, the ethnic fashion festival and tradeshow dedicated to the diversification of fashion, accessories and décor, is set to celebrate its 10th Year Anniversary. The event will be organized this year at the Espace des Blancs Manteaux in Paris. In addition to catwalk shows, Labo International will also host seminars and Master Classes.

The Labo International has become France’s indisputable reference for diversity in fashion. This year Flora Coquerel, who captured the 2014 Miss France title, is the event’s ambassador.

In 2006 Ms. Yvette Taï-Coquillay originally founded the event under the name of “Labo Ethnik”. Her vision was and continues to be to provide a clear voice and a professional setting for designers to be able to show their creations to the buyers, press and public. By doing so, she also extends cross-cultural understanding of technical savoir-faire that finds its origins in African, Asian and South American traditions of garment making. Since its  founding, the event has organized hundreds of fashion shows with more than 800 designers coming from more than 5 continents. And it has welcomed nearly 30, 000 visitors and has sent more than 300 models down its catwalks!

This year the event will also place an additional accent on the eco-responsibility.

The Labo International will kick off on June 11th with the AFRO FASHION REMIX, which is a full retrospective show of two generations of exciting African and multicultural fashions. And the legendary producer and artistic director Andy Amadi Okoroafor will oversee this exceptional show.
