Novi Sad, Serbia – In the new Fall Winter 2016/17 menswear collection by Dutch fashion house, Bluedenimes, we find a very solid line proposed to men for the season. The colors are white and various tones and hues of blue. It is beautiful work created in light materials such as denims, silks, jersey, cotton and nylon. With them long coats that move with the slighted effort from the wind, silk pants, denim slim trousers, cropped tops, are all created etc.
Dusty Thomas, the house’s artistic director, has made the T-shirt and slipover tops into the obvious go-to’s in the collection. They almost always have a box-like cut in their designer. The pants always hug the calves of legs in the silhouettes.
As Thomas wanted the collection to have its own distinctive personality, she called upon the talents of the Dutch jewellery maker Minou Lejeune. The two had studied for four years together at the same time at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design. However as fate would have it, they only became friends by chance after graduating. Some would arguably say best friends for ever. Thanks to the strong friendship and similar artistic philosophies, Lejeune was able to understand perfectly the needs of Bluedenimes. She created the skeletal hats, face pieces and extreme eyewear. The result is without reproach.
