Novi Sad, Serbia – In celebrating the 20th Year Anniversary of the Baron fashion house, designer Mladen Milivojevic opted for a private show at the Castle Edseg in Novi Sad. Here he received his guests with an elegant displaying of poetry and dance.
The new menswear collection sees Mladen Baron Milivojevic giving all his attention to the suits. They are cut in traditional proportions. Both double and single breasted jackets are paired with the trousers in order to form total looks more appropriate for work and late evening dining. The designer also opens the collection to more textures. We see him add felted designs to other materials in order to create suits that are more appropriate for clubbing and weekend dinner parties.
In the women’s line, the designer does some of his best work to date. As he moves from cocktail and party dresses to evening gowns, elegance is always present in each piece. The short pieces are done in lace and sheers. They at times also possess appliqués, embroideries and ostrich feathers.
Upon entering the later second movement of the women’s line, we find long gowns. Some of them are a reflection of the cocktail dresses which appeared in the beginning of the show. Yet they are naturally longer lengths. And to them the designer adds capes and longer coats. Others are more original creations and form fitting to the silhouette. The designer then concludes the show with several wedding gowns.
