Lodz, Poland – Focusing on the needs of the modern man, the Italian powerhouse Versace presents a lightweight and dynamic collection for Spring/Summer 2017.
The most striking features visible on the catwalk are long parkas made out of nearly transparent fabrics and hooded blousons. The shapes are boxy, tailored closely to the body or unstructured. The feeling of ease and lightness is reached by fine selected materials. The athletic bodies of the male models present the sporty, adventurous side of Versace. This notion is furthered with leggings, shorts, polo shirts and sneakers.
A great emphasis is shown on the waist with wrapped sweaters, pocket bags and elasticized waists in the pants. Other strong points are as usual the knitwear, pants, shirts, pyjamas, suits and long coats. The garments are with strong and bold prints. The long trenches feature substantial lapels. The color palettes is rich with dark browns, tans, blues, blacks and sophisticated plums. Interesting touches are bags in multiple forms, belts,, ties, eyewear, lace ups and socks combined with sandals. Other interesting features are golden necklaces and a gemini ring the model wore from the latest trend catching the eye with a little bling.
And as a special Prince remix for Donatella plays along the whole show. With it one must be sure that the Versace man was swag and sass.
