Lodz, Poland – Striping the clothes of all unwanted details the Italian powerhouse Jil Sander present a really modern collection for Spring/Summer 2017.

The lines visible on the catwalk are clean, sharp, even severe once all things considered. This brings minimalism to another level. One can find themes the brand is known for such as the very boxy coats and worker clothes inspirations. The options include unstructured suits, oversized blouses, long trench coats, simple shirts and relaxed fit trousers cut above the ankles. The garments are striking in their simplicity presenting a chic, yet practical vibe that effectively highlights the personality of the wearer.

The details include three-button jackets, belts defining the waist, double-breasted coats, pants with a high waist and elongated lines focusing on the vertical to create a rectangular shape. The collection is subdued with a clever usage of color. Shaded prints on raw cotton and sun-bleached ombre effect. The colors are light blue, grey, green, brown, blue, white with some burnt orange. The accessories added are belts, boots, handbags and eyeglasses.

To sum up the new work presents the DNA of Jil Sander, yet presented in its most raw form.
