Paris, France – A more casual, relaxed feeling is definitely in the air and is the goal for style in the season to come. This is the direction in which the king of Italian luxury, Giorgio Armani, has decided to take his new collection for his principal menswear line for Spring/Summer 2017 season.
The new Giorgio Armani collection is about chic and subtle, male sophistication. This is undoubtedly created with a more effortless stroke of the design crayon. Sartorial tailoring is a keen element in helping to give shape to the lightly tailored jackets and that have been paired with easy-fitting, amply cut trousers and pants. The pieces are crafted in linens, silks, cottons and with a hint of light knitwear. And of course, there are lots of graphic and geometric motifs in the collection that are created through the addition of fine jacquards.
All save the dressier suits, the collection is dominated by an assortment of pieces that have been styled and put together as looks. This means that the “total look” is out of favor this season at Giorgio Armani. However a variety of accessories have been added to finish the looks and include sensible hats, eyewear, a belts and shoes in an offering of different materials. Among the later we find leather high-tops, boating shoes, weekends walkers, and more in suedes or with noticeably thick white soles.
Giorgio Armani put in many tones of blues, grays and reds. The result is a collection of city chic with deliberate hints of multicultural exoticism. Thanks to the Giorgio Armani touch, there is a balance and harmony that shine forth with a subtle power.
