Milan, Italy – Gaia Trussardi has her finger on the pulse of something very sweet and very appealing for the new season. It’s the rendering of sports chic into colorful, pure luxury. This is her keen idea for the Spring/Summer 2017 collection at Trussardi.
Ms. Trussardi is focusing her talents on the gifts of sartorial tailoring. The edges are soft and smooth, thus making for comfortable total looks and pieces that are entirely free from confinement on the body. The trousers have been finished with the elastic waist bands that we find in generally in sports pants and shorts. Short-cropped lengths dominate them in the collection with only a few exceptions made for the lengths that finally drop below the ankles. They are worn with shirts bearing colorful prints, neckerchiefs and scarves.
The Trussardi collection is composed in silk, raw linens and python skins. The reptile skin has been used not only as embellishing elements in some pieces, but it is also used entirely in some trousers, belts and shoes.
When all is said and done, we have yet another fine style opus from Gaia Trussardi. Her new work for the Spring/Summer 2017 season combines perfectly the expectations of extreme high end chic and luxury with the relaxed sensation of casual, masculinity.
