Antwerp, Belgium – Designer Isabel Garcia has put together a very feminine collection for Fall Winter 2016/17. As she seeks coherency of color, on finds black in nearly each of her silhouettes.
Isabel Garcia opens the collection with a variety of gold pieces including blouses, skirts and shirt dresses. The collection only becomes interesting once she moves into the first formal look. She creates a long black skirt in velvet and pairs it with a bustier top. What this writer does not like about his entire section is the designer’s belief that more is better. Nothing is a better illustration of this than her short gold, mini dress. The dress could have stood alone on its own. But then Garcia decided to add very unnecessary black lace details. We could live better without those particular embellishments. But then from there, the collection is smooth sailing.
After the first formal look, we see the collection actually appearing very elegant as it includes more off-the-shoulders creations, A-line skirts and maxi lengths. These elements put together by Isabel Garcia work together to create looks axed in a superior form of elegance.
