Paris, France – In what turns out to be arguably one of the best collections of its well-documented history, the Paris-based couture house, On Aura Tout Vu, presents it new vision for the season. Titled Perpetual Motion this new outing is packed with creativity and unexpected surprises. And of course, the fashion show presented its fair share of the expected levels of drama and theatrics.
Held in an elegant salon at city hall in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, the show opens with an opus of creations in black. Among the first pieces to instantly take the eye’s attention are those created in crocodile skin. We see the material used to craft high rising collars on jacket. It is integrated into leggings, and as accents in other pieces, etc. From there we see the rapid integration of lace. This season the designers are combining their silk and lace to created lightly draped dresses for cocktail events. We see pieces move with fluidity.
At this point the pieces now begin to implement embroideries. They are punctuated by the use of long, hollow cylinder like tubes. These “tubes” appear to be nothing more than straws to the common eye! And they would become the dominant leitmotif. They create some of the most dramatic forms in the collection.
An On Aura Tout Vu ‘s work could never be considered as complete without crystals. They are cleverly employed in the embroideries. The collection is made more interesting thanks to the pleating, which composes one of the very strong elements of the overall work too.
Among the details of the collection are the accessories which includes the 4-finger gloves, crystalized high-heeled pumps and of course the thigh-high, lace-up boots!
