Paris, France – An asymmetric mix and match of bright colors, prints and materials would be the best way to describe the Spring/Summer 2017 collection of Lutz Huelle. With cheeky, wide-fitted pieces, the designer creates almost sculptural effects.
Denim, army prints, asymmetric cuts and oversized boots are returning motives throughout the presentation of Lutz Huelle. Notable is that there are a lot of separate elements going on in the Spring/Summer 2017 presentation. However they don’t seem to really blend in with each other well enough for the work to be considered as a cohesive collection. The classy trench coats, unflattering denim jacket/ dresses and nightgowns don’t seem to come from the same collection. Were it not for appearance of the huge boots, bright color palette, and earrings at least, no hint of consistency would ever be found in it.
Speaking of Lutz Huelle ‘s earrings, we believe it’s safe to say that they are making a big comeback. They are slowly but surely becoming an essential for the outfits – the perfect way to update your own style into a new season. On the catwalk of Lutz Huelle we spotted huge chainmail-looking triangles on the shoulders of the models.
Lutz Huelle is for the women who like over sized fits and enjoy odd combinations of materials and colors. And even though the quality of the materials is outstanding, we cannot help but wonder “how wearable is this collection?”
