Paris, France – The Spring/Summer 2017 collection of Rahul Mishra seems to be inspired by an old-fashioned countryside surprisingly well now updated to a modern version. With many diamond patterns, ruffles, floral patches and materials such as cotton and linen, the talented designer created a beautiful collection that represents a lovely walk on an endless field of grass.
It is very fascinating to see how the traditional elements that Rahul Mishra uses in his collection are turned around into stylish modern looks. To achieve this, he create many layers with separate clothing pieces, adding lines of ruffles above knee length to create a mermaid effect. He also adds sculptural details on the shoulders and implemented modern elements such as bomber jackets. Notable are the playfulness between opacity and transparence in between the layered looks and subtle architectural references.
Even though there are many patterns, colors and layers combined in the outfits, Mishra Rahul ‘s styling creates an absolute flawless look. This Spring/Summer 2017 collection is all about nostalgic romance and sunny days. The dominant colors are pastel yellow, blue and red, which are combined with neutral black and white.
Some of our favorite returning motives are the long straight trousers with double splits on the sides. The create a beautiful flowing movement while walking. Another popular feature is the application of 3D floral patches – which creates an architectural effect. They are the perfect symbiosis between traditional and modern.
All in all, we can definitely say that the Spring/ Summer 2017 collection of Rahul Mishra is a refreshing, inspiring and creative collection that keeps us wanting to see more.
