Riga, Latvia – From October 27th to November 2nd fashion will move to Latvia for the RIGA FASHION WEEK. This season the fashion lovers will have an opportunity to enjoy an eventful programme offering not only professional fashion shows but also thematic events, designers’ presentations and cheerful parties.
BULICHEV at RIGA FASHION WEEK
On October 28th the first Baltic designer press-showroom 8 ROOMS on the 3rd floor of the shopping centre Galleria Rīga will host an event for industry professionals where the invited buyers will have an opportunity to order products they like from fashion brands such as Dace Bahmann, One Wolf, Ivo Nikkolo, QooQoo, Flash you and me, and others, and stylists and journalists will have a chance to acquire professional contacts.
This very day a presentation of a group exhibition of Estonian contemporary jewellery artists Castle in the Air will take place in art gallery PUTTI. The designers’ aspiration to reflect the dark side of the world manifest itself in the accessory line of black and brown colour palette. Estonian artists have used burnt wooden boards and various objects of interior for decoration of their exhibition emphasizing that the burnt wood is an embodiment of fragility.
Out of fashion presentations of this season the show of the footwear collection by the Latvian designer Elina Dobele must be noted. Although the designer footwear collections are not as wide-spread as apparel collections in Latvia, Elina is certain that footwear is the basis of the image. The major characteristics of the brand are the outstanding quality and unique design based on unusual combinations of materials like textile, leather, lacing, metal and wood.
During RIGA FASHION WEEK all inhabitants and guests of Riga will have an opportunity to join two parties in Coyote Fly Lounge Club, the official club of RFW. On October 28th during RFW Models & Fans Party the most demanded models in RFW history will be named and awarded, and the visitors will have a chance to enjoy the military style show Squad 33 by jeans apparel designerBULICHEV. On October 29th during Samsung Galaxy Party the show of the new collection of the men’s clothing brand Baltman, this time using the weightless parachute fabric, will take place, and it will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the brand. The collection was created in collaboration with Aerodium.
The 25th anniversary Riga Fashion Week is going to contribute greatly to the development of the Latvian fashion assembling the major representatives of the fashion world in one place.
