Antwerp, Belgium – Designer Zsolt Popa made a solid start to the Spring/Summer 2017 season. He unveiled his new collection at the Romanian Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week and in it, we discover a work that is cohesive and well united by the elements of color, cut, fit and overall theme.

The designer has taken the surest route by placing all his designers in black. The silhouettes fall under the domination of angular cuts. This is acutely the case for the bottom edges of the skirts and dresses that the designer has been created in wool fabric. To it Zsolt Popa creates embellishments with other materials such as velvet and tassels fringes. Fur is also used to create the majority of the outer wear pieces and even to compose one top entirely in it.

When one takes in the entire collection for consideration, one cannot help but note the very dark tone of the Zsolt Popa ‘s work. This darkness is further enhanced by the designer’s accessorizing of the collection. For this he calls upon aviator-like bonnets and large animal skulls.
