Milan, Italy – New to Milan’s men’s fashion week calendar is Malibu 1992. This brand is all about masculine sportswear. The style and overall aesthetics of the message that the house is conveying is a singular one in which comfort and a lack of unnecessary pretension go hand in hand.

Malibu 1992 has a very urban aesthetical spirit. The garments have big volumes and feature large T-Shirts, amply cut pants and oversized coats. Many of the pieces have large pockets and adjustable rectangular bands. The wrists of the coats and the ankles of the trousers both have oftentimes have been finished with elastic ribbings.

Malibu 1992 has chosen for the garments materials that are easy to appreciate by an active and youthful clientele: leather, cotton, knits, cotton jersey and twill. As for the colors the house is playing it safe with its use black, white and gray. Notwithstanding the “elaborate” long fur coat, it is a bit surprising in a refreshing way to see lilac presented in such a masculine wardrobe.
