Paris, France – Lucien Pellat-Finet opened the Paris Fashion Week for men with his first official fashion show. A longtime staple in men’s luxury in Paris, his arrival cannot come too soon.
Lucien-Pellat Finet first earned a name for himself well over twenty years ago with his colorful shirts created in cashmere knits. Since that time he has evolved what was essentially a sweater company into a house that went on to include summer pieces, trousers and even womenwears. And of course he did so with the canabis leaf as the audacious emblem of his namesake fashion house.
His new Fall Winter 2017/18 collection combines the codes that have given his work longevity over the years. We find in it his fine cashmere pullover tops paired with loose-fitting pants done in jersey. He adds classic button-down shirts, windbreaker jackets in leopard print, track suits in rich velvet, comfortable T-shirts in tie-dye prints, and stylish coats in deep green with two-color camouflage inspirations as the print. He also recognizes the trend for pyjama looks that he has translated into streetwear. He also adds several silhouettes with shorts as if to recognize the winter travel habits of his clientele.
Lucien-Pellat Finet adds a note of humour that is well appreciated in the forms of provocative slogans. The most entertaining of them suggests, “Enjoy Ganja”.
