Paris, France – Today on a cold morning in Paris, the Italian fashion house Giorgio Armani presented a very warm and vibrant attitude in its new haute couture collection. Optimism and temperature rise consistently from piece to piece and from tone to tone.
The Spring/Summer 2017 Giorgio Armani Privé collection uses color as the fundamental starting point for the work. Here orange and tangerine are joined by curry and then hues of ochre. Black appears as a night sky on which these colors, which have been placed on brilliant and iridescent materials, may shine more.
Giorgio Armani Privé is first proposing pants ensembles. The jackets are extremely well tailored. The shoulders are made to appear more structural thanks to the waist of the jackets being so tightly constructed. They are treated to amazing embroideries that took hundreds of hours to complete by hand in the Armani ateliers. The designers also proposes tops such as bustiers so that the neckline is completely revealed.
The gowns and two-piece dress ensembles are where the real magic happens. Here is where Armani truly takes advantage of his exquisite materials such as the crocodile skins and special laces that he created for the collection. We find these dresses in his reserved colors by the wealth of crystal embroideries, beadings, sequins and more laces. Again Giorgio Armani highlights the waist with sashes that serve to enhance the demarcation between the hips and the bust.
