Paris, France – French fashion house Azzaro presented its new Spring/Summer 2017 collection in celebration of its 50th Year Anniversary. In doing so, it called upon Bianca Brandolini and Eugénie Niarchos to collaborate on the collection with the house’s design studio. Together they were able to curate a body of work that is a festive and glamorous throwback to Loris Azzaro’s work in the 1970s. The result is a spirit of irreverence, sans soucis and playfulness.
The collection is dominated by sheath dresses and jumpsuits that are dominated by plunging, open-back cuts or by a geometric, heart-shaped bodice. They are created in extremely light materials of organza, jersey, silk, lace, etc. And among them Azzaro has created a special zebra-patterned jacquard in organza. The garments either hug the nature curves of a woman’s body or they flow in the air thanks to the amply used light materials.
Azzaro includes a few prints in the collection. However it depends on its diverse color palette that is diverse enough to include black, powdery pink, emerald green, dove grey, silver and gold. And finally sunset orange is pulled in as an undeniable throwback to the 1970.
