New York City (NY), USA – This morning the New York City based label, Mansur Gavriel, announced that it will step away from the traditional fashion calendar format and into a see-now-buy-now model, by presenting its Fall Winter 2017 collection in September 2017. In addition to presenting the latest assortment of handbags and shoes, the Fall Winter 2017 collection will debut ready-to-wear, the brands first foray into the category.
Founders and Designers, Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel, who launched their eponymous brand with a collection of handbags in 2012 and their first line of shoes in September 2015, say of the move, “We want to create a full world for our consumers and are thrilled to grow our product offering to include ready-to-wear. Our decision to simultaneously switch to a consumer-focused calendar is also exciting. We’re looking forward to offering our customers such immediacy.”
While the brand will not present a new collection during next month’s New York Fashion Week, it will keep its place on the calendar and invite guests into a fully immersive Candy Shop environment at its 134 Wooster Street pop-up shop location. The Candy Shop will open to the public on February 15 for four weeks, giving consumers the first opportunity to shop the Spring Summer 2017 collection, explore a broad range of iconic Mansur Gavriel styles, and indulge in the finest Italian candies.
Rachel Mansur said, “We create immersive Mansur Gavriel environments every season and so wanted to continue that. We love the idea of creating a new world for guests to escape to.” Floriana Gavriel went on to add, “This time, we’re happy to open it up to consumers and offer them the first opportunity to shop our Spring Summer 2017 collection.”
Mansur Gavriel’s Fall Winter 2017 collection of handbags, shoes, and ready-to-wear, will be shown at New York Fashion Week in September, and available for immediate purchase.
