New York City (NY), USA – The New York Fashion Week is the setting where the young fashion house Sies Marjan has unveiled its new collection for Fall Winter 2017/18. This comes with great excitement around the American luxury brand that is just celebrating great commercial success after presented for the first time just a year ago.
In the collection head designer Sander Lak has decided to take the collection into a direction in which bold colors are welcomed upon various textures of wool, silk, knits, etc. The color palette includes blue, pinks, orange, pastel green, deep champagne, purple, etc. Together they form compelling silhouettes that fall under the undisputed domination of sharp angles and edges. We lots of rounded collars and plunging V necklines that reveal a great deal of skin. Through the asymmetric cut of the long skirts and dresses, the legs are nearly always revealed in perhaps an effort to always show a woman in motion. Once conjugated into a single force, these elements form silhouettes that are dynamic once set in motion.
The collection is direct and very easy to understand. And though a client may not opt to build her entire Fall Winter 2017/18 wardrobe from Sies Marjan ‘s collection for the season, it is clear that individual pieces will find their way into even the most discriminating closets.
